LTV's Specialized Program Pathways.

The Specialized Program

The following courses have been packaged together to support our specialized program. To apply or for more application info click here. Students in this program must achieve a minimum of seven (7) credits from the following course packages:

Grade 9 & 10 Pathway
TTI101 Gr. 9 Integrated Technology (single credit)
And one of the following:
TGJ2O1 Gr. 10 Broad-based Communications Technology (single credit)
ASM2O1 Gr. 10 Media Art (single credit)*
Credits earned = 2

Senior Grade Level Multimedia Pathway
EMS3O Gr. 11 English Media Studies (single credit)
TGV3M Gr. 11 Television & Radio Production (double credit)
And one of the following:
ASM3O Gr. 11 Media Art (single credit)*
TGJ3M Gr. 11 Multimedia Communications Technology
TGJ4M Gr. 12 Multimedia Communications Technology
TGI3/4M1 Gr. 12 Foundations of Web Design*
Credits earned = 4

Senior Grade Level Television & Multimedia Pathway
EMS3O Gr. 11 English Media Studies (single credit)
TGV3M Gr. 11 Television & Radio Production (double credit)
And one of the following:
TGV4M Gr. 12 Television & Radio Production (single credit)
YYJ4T Dual Credit with Centennial College (which runs in conjuction with TGV4M1)**
Credits earned = 6 possible*
*If available (may not be offered in all semesters).


** The Dual Credit program that runs in conjunction with a suitable course from Centennial College's RTA Program enables a student to earn a college credit towards a diploma in Radio & Television Arts. The student may use this credit or transfer it to another institution at the appropriate time. The college credit is paid for by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Toronto District School Board and certain conditions may apply.
